Statement of Intent

  NEA statement of intent: Media institutions In my posters, I will make sure I comply with the ASA rules. As an example, I will include no content that may cause any fear or distress to the audience as these can been seen by a variety of people as they will be displayed on billboards, many of which will not be the target audience of 16-25 years old. The documentary will not be shown before watershed (9pm) as it may contain sensitive themes like violence, criminality and anti-social behaviour that may not be suitable for a younger audience or people who have had trauma/issues with theses topics as they may upset or cause distress. Media representations My documentary will be about the struggles for teenagers in cities. The title will be ‘Under the City Lights’ and will include positive representations of teenagers to appeal to the 16-25-year-old audience interested in groundbreaking documentaries.
